Case Study: MS4 group

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

As a highly successful SME working in aviation, MS4 offer Continued Airworthiness Management (CAM) for the aircraft industry. They needed a brand overhaul that would project a compelling maintenance and management proposition to a wide range of potential clients including both private aircraft owners and major airlines.

MS4 corporate video
MS4 required a corporate video for use online and at exhibitions. We produced a two minute video loop using a combination of live footage and stills photography, some of which we animated for greater effect.

Photography
MS4 have a potential global market and need international appeal. We realised from the outset that stock photography could not satisfy the brief or accurately convey the business message of MS4. It was necessary to produce bespoke photography which we art directed and successfully captured on location at Farnborough airport and within MS4s busy working environment. With our expert post production facilities we created high impact, provocative imagery which tells the MS4 story in every language.

Corporate brochure
We created a 20 page brochure with our own photography and expert copywriting, based on a combination of face-to-face briefing and material that was already in use. Key marketing messages were presented more effectively and large volumes of highly technical information were summarised without compromising accuracy or impact.

We devised the paper plane concept and imagery and have produced a number of exhibition display systems which are of high impact, lightweight and compact for easy transportation to overseas trade shows.

Case Study: Eastlake Group

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

In November 2008, Eastlake Group announced an £8m merger with Work Inc. Here you will find a selection of work produced before the merger.

Refreshing a brand.

We were charged with refreshing the primary identifying mark for eastlake group and creating an updated collection of brand guidelines.

The eastlake group is a market leader in the provision of workplace services and products, structured around six businesses. Each business operate individually, though all can be combined to provide a complete holistic approach to support facilities management and implementing positive changes to the working environment.

It was crucial that the positioning and guidelines provided a framework to build consistent communication of the brand throughout the group without limiting creativity.

To date, we have been commissioned to produce:

  • Brand Guidelines
  • Stationery
  • Brochures
  • Individual company websites
  • On-screen presentational multimedia

“Pentagon Design work closely with their customers, supporting them with a highly talented, experienced and committed team. Having used Pentagon over several years across a variety of projects from web design to brand development and production of print items, they have consistently answered the brief, have delivered quality products, to deadline and on budget – can’t fault it!” - Eastlake Group

Kitchen Devils Rebranding

After being commissioned to rebrand Kitchen Devils, our approach began with extensive research, surveys and focus groups, which gave support and direction to the design proposals. Careful consideration was given to the positioning of the brand, to take Kitchen Devils forward to connect with its target markets.

We have now completed the packaging design for all the Kitchen Devils knife ranges, which are now in production and were launched in store in January 2008:

  • Lifestyle: Core product range of 23 products consisting of knives, kitchen gadgets and gift packs.
  • Control: An innovative new kitchen knife range which has won the prestigious ‘Red Dot’ design award.
  • Professional: A range of 13 products, consisting of individual knife packs, knife sets and knife block.
  • Chopping Boards: A range of wooden and plastic chopping boards.
  • Knife Blocks: Packaging design for an ever growing list of Kitchen Devils knife blocks!

We have also completed the 2009 product catalogue and product range data sheets. In March 2010 we launched the new, refreshed website, replacing the original launch site, built in 2008.
